சித்தர் பாடல்கள்: Poets of the Powers

அரியும் அல்ல – Not Hari, அயனும் அல்ல – not Ayan [Brahma], அப்புறத்தில் அப்புறம் – Beyond the Beyond, காரணம் – the Cause, கடந்து சென்ற – that went beyond, கருமை செம்மை வெண்மையை – Black, Red and being White, பெரியதல்ல – not large, சிறியதல்ல – not small,  பற்றுமின்கள் – Catch hold, துரியமும் – a state of Consciousness, தூர – the vast distance, கடந்து நின்ற – that stands even beyond.

It is not Hari and it is not Brahma,  This is beyond even the Beyond.  The Cause that went beyond the nature of black, red and white.  It is not large nor it is small.  Catch hold of it, all of you!  It is the vast expanse that lies even beyond the turiya state of consciousness.

The meaning of this stanza, according to me could read as follows:

It is not just Hari, nor Brahma, (nor Siva): beyond them
The ‘point” which is Beyod black (Hari’s colour), white (Brahma’s colour), red (Siva’s colour)
Is not Big nor Small: catch hold of it, catch hold of it
Even if you waste a little time, you will farther and farther from it.

I may be wrong. But it is with this understanding, I have been reciting this for the past many years.
